The National Medical Association (NMA)’s Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly is acclaimed as the nation’s foremost forum on medical science and African American health. Each year, African American physicians and other health professionals from across the country convene to participate in the scholarly exchange of medical advances, discuss health policy priorities, and to share experiences through networking opportunities. Through NMA’s 26 Scientific Specialty Sections, the Convention attracts the broadest spectrum of African American physicians, academicians and scientists in the country.
The program opens on Saturday, July 30, 2022 with special sessions, workshops, the official opening of the convention and continues through Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Convention events will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center and Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

Health & Safety
All 2022 convention attendees, exhibitors, guests, contractors, and staff must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster(s) for those who are eligible. We will provide multiple options for attendees to provide proof of vaccination. Additionally, face mask are required at all times while in-doors at the Georgia World Congress Center, Hyatt Regency, or other NMA contracted venues, including but not limited to meetings in hotels, the convention center, and on shuttle buses, regardless of whether it is required by law at the time of the convention. Those brief periods when actively eating or drinking or presenting are exempt from the mask mandate.
